University Park, Pa. — Addressing growing operational needs at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, the University's Board of Trustees Friday (Jan. 23) approved the appointment of Highland Associates Architects of Clarks Summit, Pa., as architect for a new 30,000-gross square foot central support and warehouse facility at the Penn State Hershey campus.

The new structure will house the campus' materials supply and distribution operation, maintenance shops, offices for Environmental Health Services and other office space.

"Consolidating these functions in a location that provides convenient access to all areas is the most cost-efficient and functional way to address our needs," said Gary C. Schultz, senior vice president for finance and business/treasurer of the University.
