Penn State School of Theatre presents 'The Wiz'

University Park, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania State School of Theatre's University Resident Theatre Company will present "The Wiz," Feb. 17 thru 28, in the Playhouse Theatre, on the University Park campus.

Directed by Steve Broadnax, this Broadway musical is based on "The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz" by L. Frank Baum. The musical is an adaptation of the tale we all know by heart. Dorothy is blown by a tornado into Munchkinland where she meets the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Cowardly Lion. They all go off to see the Wizard of Oz, who turns out to be a phoney, but Dorothy starts believing and they all live happily ever after.
