Mehta wins entrepreneurship education award

Khanjan Mehta, senior research associate in electronics and computer services, has been recognized for his achievements with the 2008 Innovation in Teaching Entrepreneurship Award.

He is one of just two professionals in the United States to win the Advanta-sponsored award.

Mehta is the only instructor to have two students win $10,000 each in cash seed money for outstanding ideas in an Ideablob.com contest.

In 2006, he was one of two U.S. delegates chosen by UNESCO and Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) to help establish an international ESW organization.

Mehta's other notable honors include being featured as a guest adviser on Ideablob.com and receiving a 2008 W. LaMarr Kopp International Achievement Award.
