Powwow set for April 18-19; volunteers needed

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State and the State College Area School District are hosting a traditional American Indian Powwow on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday April 19 at the Mount Nittany Middle School in State College. The American Indian traditional Powwow is a contemporary social gathering and celebration of community featuring American Indian dance, drum music and songs. In addition there are Native American foods as well as American Indian vendors showing and selling their arts and crafts. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
