Faculty and grad student judges needed: 2009 Undergraduate Exhibition

University Park, Pa. -- Faculty and graduate student volunteers are needed to serve as judges for the April 8 Undergraduate Exhibition at University Park. Judges are being sought for poster presentations in seven broad entry areas.

Poster judging will be held in Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center. Judges choose the times and broad area(s) of entry for judging. Judging categories include Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Health and Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Public Scholarship, Social and Behavioral Sciences and Course-Based Projects. Each judging session spans a 90-minute period (9:30-11 a.m.; 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; 12:30-2 p.m.) in which each judge is given approximately three posters to review. Most judges find that a total of about 45 minutes is required to complete the judging. The students will be available through the 90-minute session so judging can take place at any time during that period. A judge need not stay the entire 90 minutes.

Individuals willing to serve as a judge should visit http://www.undergradresearch.psu.edu/exhibition/judgesneeded.cfm and complete and submit the Judge Volunteer form electronically. The Office of Undergraduate Education will confirm by email that the judge volunteer form was received successfully.

Questions may be directed to Mary Beth Crowe, assistant vice president and assistant dean for undergraduate education at (814) 863-1864 or mbc5@psu.edu.
