Former Penn State Altoona student receives Fulbright fellowship

Penn State graduate Kyle Elkin received a Fulbright fellowship grant to conduct a research project in Norway.

Elkin completed his first three years of study at Penn State Altoona, then completed a Bachelor of Science degree in toxicology at University Park. He is currently a Master of Science student in the biotechnology program offered by the Huck Institutes for the Life Sciences at Penn State. He is working in the USDA Agricultural Research Service group in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

In Norway, Elkin will study the interaction of soil microbes with environmental toxicants.
