Penn State Altoona will set aside up to $50,000 a year in a new scholarship program to assist students completing a four-year degree at the college. The funds come from several existing scholarships on campus and other monies that are set aside.
The scholarship will be available to juniors and seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Students will need to submit a Web-based application between April 1 and May 15. The application can be found online at www.altoona.psu.edu/stuaid/scholarships/scholarship_AltoonaMajors.htm.
The amount of scholarship money for each student will depend on the total money available, which may change annually, and the number of students applying.
