Busy weekend for the arts

There was a lot happening on Penn State's University Park campus this past weekend, including a variety of events produced by students.

On Friday, April 3, Students Organizing the Multiple Arts and the Visual Arts Student Association presented The 2009 Arts Crawl, an annual open-house community event. The event opened more than a dozen studios to the general public, and aims to play an important role in community outreach via the arts, according to organizers. Esber Recital Hall was a busy place on Saturday, April 4, as the Penn State Jazz Educators played host to the 2009 Penn State Jazz Festival. The event featured one middle school and eight high school jazz bands, along with Penn State's Outer Dimensions, Inner Dimensions and Centre Dimensions.
