Mitra serves as speaker, coordinator for European conference

Raj Mittra, professor of electrical engineering, served as a speaker and coordinator of the 3rd European Conference on Antennas and Propagation from March 23 to 26 in Berlin, Germany. Mittra presented three papers, including “Making a Case for Analytical Methods in Field Theory in Today’s World of Electromagnetics Dominated by Computational EM,” “Challenging Problems Arising in the Simulation of Body Area Networks” and “Simulation of Large Multiscale Structures Using the Finite Difference Time Domain Method (FDTD) Hybridized with The Method of Moments (MoM).” He also led a workshop titled “Small Antenna Design for Mobile Handsets, UWB, Sensors, RFID tags and other Applications, and their Performance Enhancement by using EBGs and Metamaterials.”
