Heard on Campus: Bruce Christopher at the Forum

April 07, 2009

"Think of it like a newspaper; here's the metaphor: Men speak in headlines, women speak in stories. ... What does this mean for you? It has been estimated that 38 percent of potential energy in an office can go out the window because of communication tension or unresolved conflict or misunderstanding in the office."

-- Bruce Christopher, clinical psychologist and humorist, speaking today (April 7) at the Nittany Lion Inn as part of the Penn State Forum Speaker Series. Christopher spoke on the topic, "Why Are Women So Strange ... And Men So Weird? Or How to communicate effectively, reduce frustration and increase success in your life and work."

The final speaker of the 2008-2009 Penn State Forum Speaker Series is Catherine Bertini, professor of public administration at the Maxwell School, who will talk about "The Secret to Ending Hunger: Invest in Women" on Monday, May 4, at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.
