College of IST students place second at research exhibition

A team of students from Angsana Techatassanasoontorn’s IST 220 class recently won second place at the Penn State Undergraduate Research Exhibition for their work on a feasibility study about the broadband network in the city of Harrisburg, Pa.

The team of Sammy Khayat, Mehmet Gunay, Matt Guy, David Reinbold, and Eric Zee took second place out of 117 participants at the exhibition and also received the University Libraries Award for Information Literacy, which recognizes scholarly work based on a foundation of careful background research and literature review.

The team’s winning poster will be on display in Pattee Library until the end of the semester.
