New Kensington

Adult learners survey online

Adult learners, students who are classified as at least 24-years-old, comprise approximately 30 percent of the Penn State New Kensington student population.

Realizing that there are many challenges associated with the decision to start or return to college, the administration constantly strives to support these students in reaching their academic goals while maintaining a healthy life balance. In order to determine where support for adult learners can be improved, a survey has been developed to solicit opinions and comments from affected students.

Adult learners at the campus were e-mailed the survey link and are encouraged to share their opinions about Penn State New Kensington. Responses will be instrumental in improving the learning environment on campus and enabling the administration to respond to the current and future needs of the adult student population.

The survey was developed by Melissa Gemballa, a Penn State New Kensington adult student, working under the direction of Lois Rubin, associate professor of English, and in conjunction with Theresa Bonk, director of student affairs.

For more information or to comment on the survey, contact Theresa Bonk at (724) 334-6062.
