Penn State alumni find themselves and others on the new digital La Vie

Many alumni visiting campus for Blue White Weekend stopped by Paterno Library to use the new digital La Vie, 1890–2000. For those that missed the event, Penn State's yearbook can be accessed through http://resources.libraries.psu.edu/coll/lavie or via the Libraries' homepage at www.libraries.psu.edu under Digital Collections--for access anywhere, anytime with computer access to Penn State's Web site.

The digital project covers the years 1890-2000. There is an embargo on the years 2001-2009 so that the LaVie Board of Directors can sell print copies to alumni from those years. The embargo for the years 2001-2005 will be lifted in 2010 after which the Libraries can digitize those years and add them to the online site.

The project is a collaboration of the Libraries Digitization and Preservation Department and Penn State University Archives. For more information, contact Jackie Esposito, (814) 863-3791.
