Penn State Lehigh Valley will offer an OSHA 10-hour General Industry course from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on June 17 and 19, at the Corporate Learning Center in Bethlehem.

This OSHA authorized course is geared toward company managers, supervisors and members of safety committees, and focuses on the practical aspects of safety and the practical application of OSHA standards; emphasizes keeping the workplace safe for the people in it and identifying hazards and unsafe practices; and covers a wide range of topics to allow you to understand the rules/regulations necessary to be compliant with OSHA — for example: walking/working surfaces, HAZCOM, electrical safety, etc. In addition, written programs and training requirements will be discussed.

The cost of the course is $275/person or $225/person for multiple enrollments from the same company. All attendees who successfully complete this 10-hour course will receive a course completion card from OSHA and one Continuing Education Unit from Penn State Lehigh Valley.

The course will be conducted by Bill Paletski, OSHA authorized instructor and senior technical specialist with PennTAP, who has more than 21 years of environmental and occupational safety experience, facilitates the OSHA 10-hour course throughout Pennsylvania, has worked in manufacturing and industry, and has direct experience with OSHA inspections.
