Staff member invited to symposium in Oxford

Priscilla Johnson, director of undergraduate studies, has been invited to attend the Oxford Round Table from July 12-17, in Oxford, England. The event, "Women in the Academy: Prospects and Promises," consists of a small interdisciplinary group of scholars who have a particular interest in gender equity in the education establishment. The symposium will cover topics including gender equality in theory and practice, manifestations of discrimination in the university environment, gender and the hierarch of the institution and discriminatory rationalization of invisible ceilings.
