Pennsylvania Rural Health Conference set for June 2 and 3

The 17th Annual Pennsylvania Rural Health Conference, “Policy to Practice:  Mission Possible,” will take place June 2 and 3 at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel at University Park. Attendees have the opportunity to learn about how current issues and new developments in health care policy affect the well-being of rural Pennsylvanians.The conference targets rural health advocates, administrators, policy makers, providers, and educators who are working to enhance the health status of citizens in rural communities. However, all are welcome to attend.

Presentations will focus on a variety of topics including federal policy, federal practice, state policy, state practice, and more.  Grant-writing workshops will start the conference on Tuesday, June 2, followed by a networking reception. Keynote and concurrent sessions are scheduled for June 3, along with a presentation from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the annual rural health awards presentation.

The conference is coordinated by the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health and co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania Rural Health Association, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Penn State’s College of Health and Human Development, Penn State Cooperative Extension, and Penn State Outreach.
