WPSU-TV's June pledge drive exceeds fundraising goal

University Park, Pa. — WPSU-TV raised more than $63,000 in the June pledge drive, which exceeds the station's goal of $45,000. The drive was 11 days long and included fundraising around programming for both children and adults.

"Given the current state of the economy and the uncertain future for broadcast funding from the state, we are very pleased to know that so many viewers felt that WPSU's information and entertainment programming was a worthwhile investment," said Patrick Smith, director of membership. "Every viewer that contributes to maintain their membership or to start a membership is critical to our broadcasting capabilities and we really can't thank them enough."

More than 500 individuals generously contributed to the fundraising drive. The funds raised will go toward purchasing, producing and broadcasting high-quality programs for WPSU-TV viewers to enjoy all across central Pennsylvania.
