Pennsylvania Centre Stage presents 'The Dining Room'

Pennsylvania Centre Stage, in its 24th season of professional theatre, will produce "The Dining Room," June 16 through 28, in the Citizens Bank Theatre, at the Penn State Downtown Theatre Center, 146 S. Allen St., State College.

Directed by Cary Libkin, "The Dining Room" is a wistful, humorous look at the center of the family, where everyone sits down together to dine and talk without televisions or cell phones.

Libkin directed Centre Stage past hits "Lend Me a Tenor," "Baby," "Whose Life Is It Anyway?," "Closer than Ever," "The Fantasticks," "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," "A Chorus Line," and "Driving Miss Daisy."

The cast of six includes Brigid Brady who appeared on Broadway as Christine Daae in the "Phantom of the Opera" and was a soloist on the national tour of "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber"; Jeff Talbott who appeared on Broadway in "Sly Fox and Fortune's Fool"; and Penn State master of fine arts graduate actors Stephanie Stroud, Johnny Russell, Jessiee Datino and Blaine Smith.
