Current students needed to be team leaders for Summer Day of Service

New students at Penn State University Park will have the opportunity to participate in a Summer Day of Service on Tuesday, June 30, and current students are needed to serve as team leaders in order to make this program a success.

The second annual Summer Day of Service has been created especially for new students (starting in the second summer session) to have fun, meet new people and make a difference in their new community. Last year’s new student volunteers said that team leaders were fun, informative, cared about their community and inspired them to make a difference.

Anyone interested and available to serve as a team leader for the Summer Day of Service from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on June 30 should contact Sarah Hermsmeier as soon as possible at slh52@sa.psu.edu or (814) 867-0211

Team leader training will take place from 7-8 a.m. that morning, and participants will receive a free T-shirt, water bottle and lunch as a part of this volunteer experience.
