'Grace' exhibition to be held at Zoller Gallery

July 06, 2009

An exhibition by artist Ellie Taraborrelli will be held at the Zoller Gallery in the Visual Arts Building on Penn State's University Park Campus beginning Thursday, July 9.

The exhibition, titled "Grace," reveals the permeable memory of childhood experiences through imagery that oscillates between dreams, fantasy, and reality. Within this context, constructs of girlhood, ritual, and innocence are explored through the use of printmaking and three-dimensional forms sewn and cut from wood. The works will be on display from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10; there will be a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, and the gallery will be open again from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 12.

Artist Ellie Taraborrelli will receive her masters of fine arts in printmaking from Penn State this summer.
