Penn State on the Big Ten Network: July 13-19

Two original Penn State programs debut new episodes this week on the Big Ten Network.

"Conversations from Penn State," a series featuring in-depth conversations with a wide range of remarkable individuals, takes a look at the African-American middle class. Host Patty Satalia interviews leading sociologist, author and Northwestern University professor Mary Pattillo at 7 p.m. Tuesday (July 14), with replays at 4 p.m. Thursday (July 16) and 9 a.m. Friday (July 17). "Expert Opinion with Graham Spanier," debuts its second installment at 7 p.m. Thursday (July 14) on the topic of "The Selling of College Sports." The Penn State president is joined by by Andy Geiger, former athletic director at Ohio State University, the University of Maryland and Stanford; Richard Herman, chancellor of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and Malcolm Moran, Penn State's Knight Chair in Sports Journalism and Society and previously a sports journalist with USA Today, The New York Times, Newsday and the Chicago Tribune.
