Penn State Great Valley helps engineers take on management roles

Despite recent economic challenges, the Bureau of Labor Statistics continues to project an increasing demand for engineering managers over the next several years.

From 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, in the Main Building, Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies will host, "What do Engineers Need to Know about Management." Program representatives will also be on hand to discuss the new Penn State Great Valley Master of Engineering Management degree.

This new 33-credit program is geared toward professionals with a background in engineering or science, and prepares students to address leadership needs in a technical environment by linking engineering expertise with business management skills.

Seven-week courses are held in the evenings at the Malvern campus or the Philadelphia Navy Yard. There is still time to enroll for this fall. For more information or to register for the event, visit http://www.pennstategreatvalley.org/ online or call (610) 648-3243.
