The Center for the Performing Arts (CPA) is staging a "Guitar Hero" tournament as part of its Come Curious Patio Party for University Park students. Penn State students need to register for the tourney by Aug. 31. Auditions will be held from noon to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 1 and 2, with the tournament finals set for Sept. 9 on the Eisenhower Auditorium patio stage. The tournament finals are part of the patio party, which will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 9. At the patio party, University Park students can save 20 percent off the already-discounted student prices on all 26 of the CPA's upcoming season presentations. Students also can enjoy free food, prizes and entertainment.
