'Our Kids' golf tournament generates $1.8 million, GIANT top sponsor

GIANT Food Stores, the top sponsor of the Children's Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, held its 13th annual "Our Kids" golf outing in July. The event raised a record $1.8 million for five CMN-affiliated hospitals, including Children's Hospital. The golf weekend began on July 18 with more than 20 CMN miracle children teamed up with local media celebrities for the annual "celebrity putting contest" at the Hershey Country Club. GIANT made a contribution to CMN in the names of the top three teams. The "Our Kids" golf tournament on July 20 included 1,700 golfers on 12 courses across central Pennsylvania. This is the largest one-day golf tournament to benefit CMN in the country.
