On Saturday, Aug. 29, the Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions soccer team began the season at home with a 7-1 win over Penn State Worthington Scranton at Green Valley Park, Rochester.
During the game, Tyler Blake (Moon High School, Moon Township, Pa.) had three goals and an assist, co-captain Todd Long (Kane High School, Kane, Pa.) had two goals and an assist, and Brandon Landry (Hopewell High School, Aliquippa, Pa.) had two goals. Cory Bird (South Side High School, Hookstown, Pa.) also notched an assist.
