Awards ceremony features cancer research alumnus

Join Penn State College of Medicine at the annual Convocation and Awards Ceremony at 4 p.m. Sept. 11 in the Hospital Auditorium. Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.

Following the presentation of scholarships and awards to graduate and medical students, the 2009 Alumni Fellow, James C. Alwine, associate director, Abramson Cancer Center, and professor, cancer biology, University of Pennsylvania, will speak on “Why Basic Science Research Remains Vital in the Era of Translational Medicine.”
