The Penn Stater magazine's editor, Tina Hay, got a little bored during the third quarter of the Penn State-Syracuse game this weekend, so she decided to hop on a state police helicopter and go for a ride. OK, that’s not exactly how it happened. Her ride was set up earlier in the week. Her goal was to see how the helicopter is used to monitor traffic during football games, so she could write about it in her column in the next Penn Stater. Things didn't quite work out as planned because of the weather, but while she didn't get to see the traffic detail, she did get some spectacular shots of Penn State's University Park campus.
