Judith Vicary, Penn State professor emerita of biobehavioral health, has written "Celebrate Advent -- 25 Legends."
The book showcases 25 ageless tales from around the world concerning the coming of the Christ child at Christmas. Each legend and its accompanying colorful illustration reflects how ordinary people, plants, birds and animals herald the season. The legends are matched by punch-out ornaments at the back of the book to hang on the holiday tree or wreath. The legends reflect traditions of many countries, including Syria, England, Russia, Mexico and Italy among others.
