Still Life: Penn State Laureate, School of Music host youth choirs

November 23, 2009

University Park, Pa. -- For the second time this fall, Anthony Leach, the 2009 Penn State Laureate, and faculty and students from the School of Music hosted high school choirs from central Pennsylvania for a day of choral workshops and interaction with members of the University's choral faculty and students in the Penn State Concert Choir. A Still Life captured a few brief moments of their visit.

On Nov. 18, Leach, associate professor of music and music education, brought choir members from Tyrone (Pa.) Area High School and Central Mountain High School, of Mill Hall, Pa., to the University Park campus for the second set of high school visits. In spring 2010, Leach plans to visit schools and communities across Pennsylvania as part of his role as the Penn State Laureate.
