Parking registration for spring 2012 and Thanksgiving parking

Resident, commuter and long term storage parking:

University Park, Pa. -- Beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, students who reside on or off campus that do not have a current parking permit and those that already registered with a permit valid for just the fall semester, may register for a permit in person at the Parking Office in room 1 of the Eisenhower Parking Deck, or online. Students registering in person must have their Student ID+ card, and license plate information with them.

Students already registered with a spring semester permit that would like to change their lot assignment must register in person at the Parking Office beginning at 8 a.m. Dec. 6.

To change your lot assignment you must:

1. Bring your current permit, Student ID+ card, and license plate information to the Parking Office.

2. Exchange your current permit for a permit valid for the fall semester only in the lot you are currently assigned.

3. Purchase a permit for the spring semester in the lot of your choice.

Students are reminded all permits are sold on a first come, first served basis. Lot change accommodations are subject to eligibility and space availability. A spring semester permit costs the same as a fall only permit. A spring semester permit costs the same as a fall permit. The price list can be found on the website under parking permits.

Permit Distribution: All permits will be available to pick up at the Parking Office beginning Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Absolutely no permits will be mailed to local or home addresses.

All bicycles used in Centre County must be registered at www.transportation.psu.edu. Registration is free and easy. Bicyclists will need to know make, model and color of bike as well as the serial number to complete the process.

With the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and the reduced weekend schedule bus service from the commuter lots, changes to the standard parking rules and regulations will be observed.
 

  • Monday, Nov. 21 through Wednesday, Nov. 23, all standard student rules and regulations will remain in effect.
  • Thursday, Nov. 24, weekend rules and regulations will apply. 

Friday, Nov. 25, student commuter permits will be valid in  Yellow F (Eisenhower Deck), Yellow D (East Deck), Nittany Deck, and  lot Red A. All other student permit holders must park in their assigned parking areas. Please note: commuter permits are NOT valid  in the HUB-Robeson Center Deck on Friday.

Standard visitor rules and regulations will be in effect Monday - Wednesday and Friday. Visitors will be required to have a permit or park in one of the hourly parking decks for $1 per hour.
