Professor's book focused on speech and wisdom in ancient Greece

"Listening to the Logos: Speech and the Coming of Wisdom in Ancient Greece," written by Christopher L. Johnstone, associate professor of rhetoric in the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences at Penn State, has been published by the University of South Carolina Press. The book provides a comprehensive account of the relationship between speech and wisdom across nearly four centuries of evolving Greek thought and teachings, from the mythopoetic tradition of Homer and Hesiod to Aristotle's treatises.
