Chicago —The Big Ten Conference posted four impressive bowl victories during the 2009-10 post-season and the Big Ten Network will breakdown the games during its Big Ten Football Bowl Wrap-Up at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jan. 14.
The Big Ten Football Bowl Wrap-Up will re-air three times during the upcoming week: Jan. 15 (5 p.m.), Jan. 16 (10:30 p.m.) and Jan. 19 (9 a.m.).
Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith will host the 60-minute program. They will be joined by Rick Pizzo and analysts Anthony Herron, Chris Martin and Glen Mason. Interviews with Big Ten coaches and players will be included in the program.
The Big Ten's wins in the Rose, FedEx Orange, Capital One and Champs Sports Bowls came against opponents ranked in the Top 15. No conference had posted four bowl victories against Top 15 opponents in the same season since the Big Ten accomplished the feat in 1998-99.
Penn State delivered a dramatic 19-17 win over No. 13 LSU in the 2010 Capital One Bowl to finish 11-2 and ranked No. 8 in the final USA Today Coaches poll and No. 9 in the Associated Press poll. The Big Ten was the only conference with three teams in the 2009 final Top 10 and four teams in the Top 16.
The Nittany Lions' 24th bowl win under Joe Paterno will re-air on the Big Ten Network on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 3:00 p.m., immediately following the Penn State-Iowa men's basketball game, which tips at 1:00 p.m. on the Network. Tonight's Nittany Lion basketball game at Illinois will air on the Network at 9:00 p.m. ET.
