Students can participate it 'Cooking 101' demo on Feb. 9

University Park, Pa. -- Students can take advantage of a spicy opportunity at Pollock Commons this month. Penn State's Executive Chef Mark Kowalski will mix, chop and cook up a variety of Cajun entrees as a part of his popular Cooking 101 demonstrations from 8 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 9, in the Gold Room in Pollock Dining Commons.

Students will discover how to cook a Cajun meal from beginning to end, and learn the ins and outs of crafting multiple courses in the kitchen. They will get a taste of them, too. Kowalski holds these demonstrations twice a semester and has showcased several types of food including Italian and healthy cooking.

Space is limited -- interested students should contact Jo-Ann Marker at (814) 863-1255 or jvm6@psu.edu by Feb. 5, to sign up.
