Research study looks at weight loss strategies

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Dr. Chris Sciamanna is studying successful weight loss strategies and is looking for people who have lost weight and kept it off.

Participation in this research study includes a short survey of habits used to lose weight and keep it off, two short visits to Hershey Medical Center, use of a mini video camera to self-record weight loss habits, and the potential to have videos uploaded on a weight loss Web site (IRB #28160).

Eligible participants will be at least 21 years old; have lost at least 30 lbs. and have been able to keep it off for at least one year; have not had bariatric surgery; are not pregnant, have not been pregnant, or plan to become pregnant within six months; and are interested in possibly being videotaped and submitting a photograph.
Compensation is provided.

This research study, IRB 26469EM, has been approved by the Institutional Review Board, under federal regulations at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine.
