Three graduate students win Alumni Association dissertation awards

Kevin Butler, a doctoral student in computer science and engineering; David Latulippe, a doctoral student in chemical engineering; and Yue Bing Zheng, a doctoral student in engineering science and mechanics, have received 2010 Alumni Association Dissertation Awards.

Each student will receive a one-time $5,000 award and will be recognized at the Graduate School Alumni Society's spring social and recognition dinner on March 27, at The Nittany Lion Inn on Penn State's University Park campus.

Ten awards were granted to students from the categories of engineering; fine arts and humanities; life and health sciences; physical and computational science (applied and basic); and social sciences (applied and basic).

The graduate award is made possible by an endowment established by the Penn State Alumni Association.
