Penn State Altoona professor pens new book

Mary Lou Nemanic, associate professor of American studies and communications at Penn State Altoona, has a new book on the shelves. "Cultural Production in Virtual and Imagined Worlds," co-authored by Tracey Bowen from the University of Toronto, was published by the Cambridge Scholars Press of the United Kingdom. The collection of essays explores how visual and Internet cultures interact.

A chapter on advertising written by Robert Trumpbour, associate professor of communications at the campus, and Sam Wagner, Penn State Altoona communications program alumnus, also appears in the book.
