Lion Surplus accepting old electronic equipment at recycling event

University Park, Pa.--Technology moves pretty fast. On April 30, there will be a convenient on-campus location to drop off old electronic equipment to make room for the new toys. Electronic Recycling Day will be held from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 30 at the Lion Surplus Building on Penn State's University Park campus.

Electronic Recycling Day will be hosted by Keystone State Auctioneers and Lion Surplus . The Keystone State Auctioneers truck will be on hand at the Lion Surplus Building for this collection.

The event will collect old electronic equipment and dispose of it in an environmentally safe way for free. It will only accept items from Penn State employees, staff and students.

Acceptable items include CPUs, monitors, hard drives, keyboards, mice, peripherals, printers, circuit boards, laptops, DVD players, electric typewriters, fax machines, cell phones, modems, pagers, PDAs, VCRs and word processors.

Event organizers reserve the right to refuse any items brought in for drop off and can only accept items during the date and time listed above.
