Waring Collection CDs are now available for purchase as mp3 downloads on Amazon.com and include the albums "God's Trombones," "Grandma's Thanksgiving," "The Nutcracker Suite," "Radio Classics," "Sentimental Journey," "The Song of America," "The Songs of Freedom" and "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" as well as individual tracks.
Fred Waring's America, within Penn State University Archives, The Special Collections Library, collaborated with the Penn State University Press on this project. According to Tony Sanfilippo, assistant press director, "The Press offers 1,320 titles on Amazon, including 63 as Kindle editions and 460 utilizing print-on-demand technology, so the Waring project was a natural extension of this digital platform. It also illustrates how the partnership between the Libraries and the Press benefits both organizations in fulfilling their respective missions."
