Residence Life seeking program assistants for 2010-11 academic year

University Park, Pa. -- BE House, a special living option for first-year students in Tener Hall in East Halls, is designed to engage first-year students in service and leadership opportunities available on campus and in the community. Residents participate in service projects, leadership activities, and programs about social justice throughout the year. Through these, students learn about the ways that they can contribute to the Penn State, local and global communities now and in the future.

Program Assistants (PA) are needed for the BE house next year. The PA is a live-in staff member, similar to an RA, who assists with program planning and implementation for the BE House. All full-time students of sophomore status or above in good standing with Penn State University Park are eligible to apply. Applicants must also be able to commit to the responsibilities of this live-in position for a full academic year. Compensation for the position is room and board for the 2010-2011 academic year. Applications for the position are due at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 in 209 HUB-Robeson Center.

For more information, visit www.sa.psu.edu/usa/studentactivities/SLO or e-mail servicelearning@sa.psu.edu. The BE House is an initiative of Residence Life and Union & Student Activities in the Division of Student Affairs at Penn State.
