More than a dozen films produced by upperclassmen in the College of Communications will be screened during the Penn State Student Film Festival, which begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, at the State Theatre in State College, Pa.

Films featured during the event were created, directed and produced by juniors and seniors in the College of Communications during the 2009-2010 academic year.  Following the screening, a meet-and-greet session with the student filmmakers and faculty members will be conducted.

This is the third year the event will be held at the State Theatre, located on West College Avenue. The event is open to the public. Tickets cost $7 and may be purchased online at or in person at the theatre.

A DVD with films screened during the festival will be sold by the Penn State Student Film Organization for $10. The festival is presented by the Student Film Organization with support from the University Park Allocation Committee.
