Old Main open house draws nearly 1,000

More than 800 people participated in tours of Old Main and the bell tower, and countless others took part in activities on the Old Main patio during the annual Old Main Open House, held by the Lion Ambassadors on Wednesday, April 21.

Lion Ambassadors dressed up as figures from Penn State's past to talk about the University's history during several stops on the tour of the building. The tour culminated with a trip to the Old Main bell tower, where visitors were treated to a 360-degree aerial view of the campus and downtown State College. Down below on the Old Main patio, the open house featured free food, games, prizes and entertainment by members of the Penn State Blue Band and majorettes.
