ANGEL will be unavailable during the weekend of May 15 for upgrade

April 27, 2010

From 6 p.m. on Friday, May 14, to 6 a.m. on Monday, May 17, ANGEL, Penn State’s course management system, will be unavailable while Information Technology Services (ITS) upgrades ANGEL from version 7.3 to version 7.4. ITS regrets any inconvenience this outage may cause.

ITS is still testing the version 7.4 system and may uncover issues that will prevent the upgrade from occurring at this time.

The new version of ANGEL will feature enhancements to several existing tools, and several new tools will help course editors perform administrative tasks. In version 7.4, the quiz tool from previous versions will no longer be available; only the assessment tool will be available. For the most part, however, the functionality will remain familiar to users. To learn more about the new features in version 7.4, visit http://tlt.its.psu.edu/about/news/2010/angel74newfeatures.
