George Lesieutre, professor and head of aerospace engineering, was elected as a director at-large of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) on April 16.
Lesieutre will serve on the AIAA board of directors beginning May 13.
The AIAA has more than 35,000 members and is the world's largest technical society devoted to the aerospace profession.
