Alumni Society to hold ninth annual golf scramble

Penn State Shenango Alumni Society will hold its ninth annual Golf Scramble on Saturday, June 19, at the Hickory VFW Golf Course. Each golfer will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win golf for four at the Penn State Blue and White Course, including a night stay at one of Penn State's fine lodging establishments in State College, Pa. Proceeds from the event benefit Penn State Shenango student scholarships and special projects.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost is $70 per person ($280 per four-person team), which includes 18 holes of golf and a cart, a continental breakfast, lunch at the turn, a steak dinner, and beverages on the course. There will be a hole-in-one contest on each par three hole; door prize drawings; first, second and third place overall awards; men’s and women’s skill prizes; and a top finishing all ladies team prize.
Sponsorship packages are available at $100-hole sponsorship and program mention; $500-four players (one team), hole sponsorship, and program mention; and $1,000-eight players (two teams), putting green sponsorship, hole sponsorship, and program cover. Merchandise and gift certificate donations are also appreciated.
