Board seeks nominations for communications alumni awards

The Penn State College of Communications Alumni Society Board of Directors is seeking nominations for its annual alumni awards to be presented at the board’s fall meeting in September. The deadline for nominations is June 25.

Each year, the board presents awards to communications professionals in three categories: Outstanding Alumni, Achievement Award and the Emerging Professional Award.

The Outstanding Alumni Award is presented to a communications graduate who has demonstrated excellence in their field, contributed significantly to their profession and gained an exemplary reputation among colleagues and students within their community.

The Achievement Award is presented to a communications graduate or friend of the college whose significant contributions to the college and/or the University, in terms of time and talent, have brought distinction to themselves, the college and the University.

The Emerging Professional Award is presented annually to recent alumni (10 years or less since graduation) for professional achievements and/or distinguished community service.
