University Park, Pa. -- Twenty-one emerging artists, all recent graduates or current master of fine arts degree candidates from Penn State's School of Visual Arts, have joined together to feature their individual work in a group art exhibition, titled "UnBound," at the Coleman Burke Gallery, New York, N.Y., on display from July 22 - Aug. 28. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Curated by 2008 alumnus Nicholas Alexander and coordinated by John Bowman, professor of art, "UnBound" is an exhibition of works that explore themes of release and separation in a wide variety of mediums. The works display a longing for something, whether a person, place, memory or emotion. The show will be accompanied by a limited edition publication, "UnBound,"featuring images of works included in the show, an essay by the curator and artist statements.

Artists featured are: 2010 master of fine arts program graduates Jamie DiSarno, Joelle Francht, Erica Harney, Robert Martin, Joe Netta, Douglas Peltzman, Salvatore Schiciano, Jeff Siegel and Benjamin Fehl; and students Joseph Bolstad, Li Ge, Garrison Gunter, Stephanie Harvey, Nauman Humayun, Mayuko Kono, Laura MacLean, Chuck Mahley, Amy Moosman, Sarah Nesbitt, Quintin Owens and Bethany Seib.

Founded in 2009, Coleman Burke Gallery is a contemporary gallery that features both emerging and established artists working in a variety of mediums and approaches. For more information, contact Alexander at nicholas@colemanburke.com or 917-677-7825.
