Intensive English Communication Program seeks volunteers

The Intensive English Communication Program is holding a one-month training program for Korean teachers of English. Organizers seek faculty and staff members who are interested in meeting and conversing with these non-native English speakers to join in on one or two conversation sessions. The first session will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 6, and the second will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 10. Both sessions will be held in room 301 of the Boucke Building on Penn State's University Park campus.

“These visitors are very fluent in English and thoroughly enjoy having the opportunity to interact informally with residents of the State College area and employees of the University,” said Ann Frentzen, director of the Intensive English Communication Program. “Your participation in this diversity opportunity will be much appreciated.”

To participate, contact Frentzen at amf3@outreach.psu.edu or call 814-865-7550.
