100 Miles for Kids: Two runners go the distance to help kids

This Friday, Penn State Hershey pediatric resident Shawn Cooper and his friend Andy Coy will attempt a nonstop, 100-mile, two-person relay run from Philadelphia to Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital to help raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network. They will arrive at Penn State Hershey at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, and the community is encouraged to come out and cheer them on as they cross the finish line. Cooper and Coy, who were motivated to attempt their first 100-mile run by their own children, have a goal of raising $10,000 through this event. Those who wish to donate should visit http://100miles4kids.org/ online. Each donation will make a priceless difference for the thousands of children treated each year at the Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.
