Students invite faculty and staff to annual THON luncheon Nov. 16

November 04, 2010

University Park, Pa. -- Tuesday, Nov. 16, will mark the fourth annual THON Faculty and Staff Luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. in the Hintz Family Alumni Center on Penn State's University Park campus. THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, and has raised more than $69 million for the Four Diamonds Fund. The fund aims to financially and emotionally support families affected by pediatric cancer, raise awareness about the disease, and hopes to, eventually, find a cure through research.

The luncheon will feature guest speakers from the Four Diamonds Fund who will offer various perspectives on how the fund has personally impacted their lives. In addition to the speakers, a presentation will be given about THON’s impact on the fund and how Penn State faculty and staff can join in the fight against pediatric cancer.

All Penn State faculty and staff are welcome to attend and encouraged to come and go at their convenience.

RSVP by Wednesday, Nov. 10, to Marlee Kattler at For more information about THON, visit
