On Saturday, Nov. 6, the Plastic Pollution Coalition will hold its first TEDx event, a daylong conference designed to raise awareness of the massive extent of plastic pollution, and of the damage it is doing to the global environment as well as to human and non-human life. The TEDxGreatPacificGarbagePatch event will be livestreamed from Santa Monica, Calif. to room 112 of the Life Sciences Building, and is open to all members of the Penn State and State College communities free of cost. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, and includes two breaks.
